Sea bass, Sea bass, Sea bass ! With the water tempartures very slow to warm up this year we are very glad to have the seabass. With surface temperatures running eight degrees cooler than last year many species are slow to arrive this spring. Seatrout, Bluefish, Flounder, and Black Drum should all pick up real soon.
Larry Stewart and friends from the postal service enjoyed a nice day on the seabass. Included in the groups limit catch were citations for Joseph Cotton and Guy Alston. Donald Gibson also harvested a tagged seabass.
Matt Hillegass and family braved the stormy forecast and were rewarded with a good catch of nice seabass before the heavy weather set in. Tagged fish were caught by Tina Smith and Matt Hillegass.
Bj Silva and coworkers from the Wilmington fire department took a well deserved day off on the water. The fishing was a little on the slow side following the prior days blow. However everyone on board had a great time away from the station.
