We continue to see good fishing both inshore and offshore. Flounder fishing has provided good action on every trip . Sometimes the keeper ratio is better than others but we are certainly catching them. The croakers have arrived in the bay as well. Perfect timing for family half day trips during which we can catch a nice variety on a daily basis. The variety includes flounder, croakers, bluefish, blowfish, and sand sharks. Tuna fishing has taken a turn for the better with the inshore chunking bite changing from nearly all bluefin to all yellowfin. Inshore shark fishing for browns and duskys has also provided some excellent action as well.
Thanks to all who have joined us these last two weeks we look forward to fishing with you all again. We have plenty of days available the rest of the summer so don't hesitate to give us a call. Here are some of the highlights of the last two weeks. Jim Weidman and friends joined us for another day of tuna chunking and once again were not disappointed. We hooked the first fish and went non stop till 10:15 am when everyone had had enough. When the dust settled we had our two bluefin in the box along with 5 yellowfin. They did an excellent job with the stand up tackle and cleanly released several bluefin tuna. Michael Garrity and family had fun releasing several big sharks. Matt Mosina and family also had a great inshore shark trip.
Jeff Lauer and family had an excellent catch of flounder. The guys worked hard thru lots of shorts to put a catch of keepers together. Brian Reynolds and friends brought their boys out and had an excellent day releasing a ton of flounder, croakers, and blowfish. The boys had a blast! Richard Fagen and family had one of those multi species half day trips. Lots of fun! Nathan Johnson and friends struggled thru a tough day of flounder fishing. They finished up with 10 nice keepers to finish the trip. Thanks for fishing so hard.
Remember to take the kids fishing!
