We continue to see good numbers of tog and have seen some big numbers of stripers. Mother nature is doing what she does best in protecting the fish as we have remained tied to the dock due to winds more days than we care to. We have lost all but seven days to weather since the last report but when we did get out the fishing was fine.
Kevin Sweigert and friends had a nice day of striper fishing. The guys harvested four of 26 stripers on the day. Alex Levantowsky and the all star crew had a nice day of tog fishing. The keeper ratio wasn't very good but they still put together a good catch. Dennis Reinhart along with Bernie Smelstoys and friends had an excellent catch of big tog. Bruce Tatman had both a 9.5lb and a 9.25 lb tog and Dennis Reinhart had a 8.75lb tog.
Art Hall and friends had an excellent catch of stripers harvesting five of 30 plus stripers. Roger Rexrode and the guys from IG Burton truck shop had a rough but fish able day. The guys harvested 7 of nearly 40 stripers in less than two hours fishing time. A trip none will soon forget.
After missing nearly a week due to the wind again Sam Bednash along with his landscaping crew had a nice limit of stripers including two over 20 lbs. Next we were joined by a group from Georgia Pacific entertaining clients for a day of striper fishing. The guys put together an excellent catch of stripers but the keeper ratio was off from the day before.
We will be fishing thru the new year and will resume fishing for tog and stripers in March 2011. Prime dates go early so plan ahead for you're 2011 trips and remember to take the kids fishing!
