Grizzly Fishing Report 10-06-2014

We finally got our tog season started yesterday and saw some good results. We had a nice catch of tog before the wind came up and forced us to come in early. Craig Moore had big fish of the day award harvesting a 15.5lb sheepshead. You never now what you might catch on these early tog trips. We will be tog fishing thru the new year and will begin striper fishing in November and fish for stripers thru the new year as well.

The weather was not cooperative with our schedule this past month. We lost four of five overnight trips to weather and had to fish closer to home than we would have liked on a couple 8 hour trips. We had a dozen nice dolphin, released a swordfish and pulled the hook on a good swordfish, and released a big hammerhead and a dusky shark on the overnight trip. Joe Marshall booked a bachelor party trip for a friend and the guys had a great time catching a limit of snapper bluefish. Tim Shearer also book a bachelor trip and despite tough conditions the guys put together an nice catch of flounder, sea bass, snapper bluefish and blowfish. We had a two boat trip with the folks from IWCO Direct. They put together a nice catch of triggerfish, croakers, blowfish, bluefish, sea trout, and thru back some sea bass due to the closed season and a handful of short flounder.

Give us a call if you would like to get out this fall and winter. Remember to take the kids fishing! Its not to early to reserve you're dates for 2015.
