Well warm weather is finally starting to arrive and with it, more species. Flounder are showing up in the canal and drum fishing in the Bay has been producing small to jumbo size fish. Tautog continue to produce limit catches and seabass fishing is getting better all the time. With the seabass come blues and Thresher sharks which are always an awesome catch. Before long we should start seeing croakers and trout in the Bay and Tuna in the Ocean.

The folks from the Goodwill Fishing Club enjoyed a tough trip on a day immediately following a blow with near hurricane force winds. Even though fishing was tough the group did manage a catch of tog. The following day was back to normal and Don Yocum and friends captured a nice limit of tog. Fred Brubaker and friends joined us after the next blow and this one fortunately did not stir things up as bad. It took us an hour before the tog came to life but after that they captured limit catch including an 8lb 12oz tog for Frederick Bear. The group also released another fish over seven pounds. That same evening a group from ID Griffith had a nice evening trip that produced several nice tog and three drum. Larry Lehman and friends also had a nice trip that produced a limit catch of tog, the largest weighing in at 8lb 7oz for Larry. Bob Persch and gang headed to the ocean in search of seabass and ended up with a nice catch of bass and a near limit catch of nice tog to boot.

We have a last minute opening this Sunday, June 5th and June 19th is still open and would make a nice Gift for any Dad. Give us a call if either date will work for you and your group.
