The striper fishing remained strong through the month and we finished the year off with our annual New Years Day trip. Tog fishing slowed a bit this month with the cold weather and moon tides. Tomorrow the boat comes out for the new engines and the other winter time maintenance. We hope to begin the 1st of April for both Tog and Stripers.

Don Hollett and friends had a great day of bass fishing. Forced to stay on the beach due to a strong westerly breeze Don and friends captured seventeen stripers releasing all but one. We had nicer conditions the following day and Don Kopp and friends had a limit catch of nice stripers releasing ten more and still home by noon. Wayne Strawbridge had big fish of the day award with a 28 lb 8 oz striper. Mitch Morris and friends captured seventeen stripers harvesting nine fish up to 20 lb 12 oz for Luke Adams. Bob Persch and friends had a beautiful day on the water and were rewarded with nine stripers taking six along home. Don Yocum and friends had an nice catch of tog however many of which went back to grow up. Big tog of the day award went to Scott Pincin with a 7 lb 12 oz fish. Greg Fluharty and friends had a calm day on the water as well and were rewarded with sixteen stripers taking home seven nice keepers. Darryl Spitler and friends had an excellent catch of twenty five stripers releasing all but three for next year. Patrick Strine and friends had another excellent catch of bass capturing twenty three of which seven went home for the table. Brian Baar and friends were forced to stay on the beach font due to freezing spray but still had a nice day capturing nineteen stripers. The folks from Jamestown Painting Inc. were along for a day of striper fishing capturing nine stripers harvesting two.

After four days of wind we were back at it with Bernie Smelstoys and friends on a slick flat calm day. We started off with 33 keeper tog then went on to capture eighteen stripers releasing all but one. Following Christmas and a week of wind we made it out New Years Eve with Sonny Do and friends who had a great catch of sixteen stripers releasing all but one. New Years Day we were joined by Gene and Maryann Laskowski and friends Jack and Jackie for the annual first striper of the year award. In four hours we managed to capture 23 stripers releasing all but one.
Thanks to all for a great 2005 season!
