Spring is finally upon us and the fish showed us they noticed it as well. Alex Levantowsky and friends were along for our first trip of the spring. We had a real nice start with the tog harvesting a good catch of tog up to seven pounds at our first stop of the day. Around noon when things slowed down we opted to go and look for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. As we were leaving we ran over a big school of stripers on the surface which was really cool to see. After about twenty minutes at the next spot while we were all enjoying the last of my venison hot dogs they started to bite. We put a handful of nice fish in the box including a 9 lb 4 oz fish for Alex himself. Mother mature then pushed us off the wreck and we headed home.

We have plenty of open days available this spring so if you would like to get out give us a call. The spring striper fishery has also begun in the Delaware Bay as the cape may fleet caught them this weekend and the big black drum fish will not be far behind.

We forgot to mention in our last report our crew member Dave had his first keeper of 2010 in February David Owen Tarbutton. Congratulations Dave and Michelle! Dave is already trying to get him out perch fishing this spring.
