The tog fishing season went out on May 11th and we had limit catches on all of our last trips. Black drum have arrived in the bay in good numbers and we should start seeing some really fine catches of these boomers real soon. Our 2011 flounder regulations have been finalized with an 18" minimum size and a creel limit of four per day until October 26. Seabass season will resume on May 22 and will remain open till October 12. Seabass will be closed October 12thru October 31 and then be open November and December.
Karl Reed, family and friends had a limit catch of tog with big fish of the day award going to Tim. Trevor Dodge and family put together a quick limit catch of tog and caught our first drum fish of the year. Congratulations T.J.. Barry and Barb Brewhart had a nice limit catch of tog and were back on a half day trip.
As far as our drum fishing is concerned it has not been up to par as far as we are concerned. The only ones with big catches so far have come in waters to shallow for us to fish. We have caught a few and had a skunking as well. It will get better with the next report. Thanks to all that have joined us as well.
Remember to take the kids fishing this summer. Get in touch with us and let us get them hooked on fishing with you.
