We have been very busy for this time of year and for the most part the fish have cooperated. The offshore fishing is holding up very well. With any luck we may see the days of old with late summer and fall tuna fishing. Flounder fishing in the ocean has produced some excellent catches, some days the keeper ratio is better than others, but there is plenty of catching. Flounder fishing in the bay is still just fair but our logs show some good catches coming from the bay starting real soon. Everyone is anxiously awaiting the croakers in the bay as well. There is also a good all release fishery for inshore sharks. Anyone wanting to tangle with something real big close to home this is for you.

Here are some of the highlights since our last report. John Schreve and family and friends had a good overnight trip. When we arrived back at the dock the crew had 4 yellowfin, 2 nice dolphin,a mix of 15 golden and blueline tile fish, released a white marlin, released 5 big dusky sharks, and had released a couple of undersized yellowfin as well. Bob Wittie and friends had an excellent day of flounder fishing harvesting 13 big flatties along with 30 plus releases.

Alex Levantowsky and friends got in two nice tog trips harvesting some nice tog up to ten pounds on both trips along with a dozen triggerfish on one of the trips. Steve Henry and family took our advice and turned their overnight trip into a long day trip while the forecast was good. Things paid off as we were 1 for 5 on white marlin, kept 2 for 8 yellowfin and harvested a dozen nice tile fish to 22 lbs. Jeff Lauer's family and friends joined us for a nice weekend of fishing. Saturday things started slow but we finished strong harvesting 11 of 53 flounder along with three seabass. Sunday, we mixed things up a bit and harvested 19 triggerfish, 1 cod fish, 3 seabass and finished up by keeping 3 of 27 flounder.

We have also done some half day trips with some nice family groups with their children and hope to see them all again next summer as well. These have all produced nice mixed bag catches but not many harvestable fish and lots of fun for the kids.
Thanks Again to everyone for their patronage we look forward to seeing you all again.

Dont forget to take the kids fishing!
