The lower Delarare Bay is showing signs of life with plenty of small trout , croakers and a few flounder. Sea bass fishing in the ocean remains steady with the flounder catches improving daily. Offshore tuna fishing is slowly progressing with water temperatures finally reaching their prime temperatures for the pelagics.
The Sergent family joined us for a pleasant half day trip in the delaware bay catching lots of small trout and taking home some tasty croakers for supper. The following day we lost of first tuna trip of the year to inclement weather.
Andy Duncan and friends found calm seas the following day and despite dirty water conditions the group managed to capture a hand full of keeper trout and four nice flounder along with some croakers for dinner. Debbied Ingram and family joined us for a nice morning outing on the bay and captured two nice flounder and some of the tasty croakers. The same afternoon Shelly Moore and family found out why we still call it fishing not catching as the croakers were not very cooperative. Fred Robinson , family and friends had a good day on the seabass with many folks still managing a limit of the fine eating fish.
