We ended 2004 with some great trips and started the 2005 even better!!
Bernie Smelstoys along with friends and family caught the good weather before Christmas and were rewarded with a nice catch of stripers and a handful of tog.
After the holiday, Mike Junck along with Bob Witte, Sam Greene, Jay Little, Bo French, Mark and Marshall had a nice catch of tog with Mike bringing in a hoss at 10lb 12oz. I would like to add that that fish was released to be caught again.
Randy Goode along with seven other folks sent out 2004 with a great catch of stripers while Gene, Mary Ann, Reds, Mike, Paul and Paul Jr. brought in 2005 with a great catch of stripers and tog. Mary Ann once again brought in the first fish of the new year, a nice striper. The group had several citation tog: Mary Ann 9lb12oz, Reds 9lb 8oz, Paul Jr. 9lb 4 oz, and Capt. Carey 11 lb 4 oz. Nice job!
Ted Thompson and group with Duffield Associates of Wilmington also had a great trip catching stripers and tog. Steve Spink brought in a nice 7lb 8 oz tog while mate Doug Mast just beat the big fish from the day before with an 11lb 8oz tog.
We ended the season with an awesome tog trip. Alex Levantowsky, Skeeter, Josh, Leon, Mike Junck, and Sam Greene had a great day with warm temps to catch some big tog. The group harvested many fish over citation size, many in the eight pound and up range. Mike had a nice 10lb 12 oz tog (that was released) and a nice 8lb 8oz tog. Alex had two nice fish weighing in at 9lb 14 oz and 8 lb 8oz. Capt. Carey also managed to catch two nice ones weighing in at 10lb 12 oz and 10lb 8oz.
We would like to thank everyone for a great 2004 season and look forward to fishing with you in 2005. We will start our 2005 season with tog fishing in March and striper fishing in April. See you then, Capt. Carey
Happy New Year To All,
Capt.'s Carey and Barbara Evans.
