Stripers are here! Bait is here! Lets just keep some good weather and things will be just fine as many folks have already found out. Bill Lanahan family along with the Hicks family had a limit catch of large bass up to 23 lbs and released several others including a 25lb fish released by Susan Lanahan. A group of folks from QuebeCorp joined us for a day of fishing and were rewarded with a nice catch of stripers along with 4 flounder and two bluefish. The Williams family joined us for a day of tog fishing. Unfortunately we found the tog uncooperative and switched to stripers and all aboard got to land a large striper to save the day. Following the two days of wind we were back at it on the 21st with Gary Belcher and friends and found we were left with some of the dirtiest water you have ever seen. We did somehow manage to harvest five large stripers.
John Koster and friends joined us the next day and managed to harvest six large stripers before the dirty water showed up again. Thing were back to normal the next day with a group from Strut services who had a near limit of stripers short by two slot fish. After another blow day we were back at it with Gary Gutowski and friends who had an exceptional day on the bass capturing their limit plus.
Thanksgiving Day Paul Gorrin, family and friends joined us for an outstanding morning of striper fishing catching their limit in short order releasing several others. Congratulations to eight year old Dillan who captured the two largest fish of the day. Black Friday we were joined by George and Carolyn Krieder and friends along with the annual crock pot full of chili for a nice day of striper fishing despite a terrible forecast. The group had our best morning yet with a limit of fish plus enough throw backs to wear all aboard out by 10:30. Following Saturday's blow we were right back at it with a group from I. G. Burton truck shop along with a crock pot full of meatballs. It took us a little while to get going but the group returned with a near limit catch of fish just short one slot fish.
