Grizzly Fishing Report 07-08-2013

We just had one of the nicest Fourth of July weekends in a long while. Hope everyone had a nice holiday also. Flounder fishing is getting better with water temperatures on the rise. Half day trips are producing a nice variety of fish. Inshore shark fishing is also good for those wanting to try for them. The tuna are now on the 30 fathom lumps as well.

We had the pleasure of taking out a group of veterans from Hunters Helping Soldiers for some fishing. The guys had a nice day harvesting a couple of nice flounder to six pounds plenty of croakers and a couple of brown sharks. That afternoon we had the Bobbit family aboard. The croakers did not cooperate as well as we like but they still caught six species of fish. The big fish of the day went to 11 year old Grant Bobbit with a 18 lb. black drum fish. Robert Deitz and family had a nice half day trip as well with a nice variety of fish. Lenny Gravatt took the family out to celebrate three of his childrens birthday. All the birthdays aboard harvested a keeper flounder along with plenty of throw back flounder and some seabass. Paul Wetzel and friends from Kansas had a great trip. We had a good catch of flounder to 6.75 lbs and a couple seabass. The guys also wanted to catch a shark so we finished the day releasing two big sandtigers. Larry Brown took his boys out for a day of tuna fishing. We harvested a 53 lb yellowfin, an 85 lb bluefin, and the guys got to fight one of the biggest bluefin we have had in a while before the line parted. They also had a tiger shark.

Give us a call if you would like to get out this summer. Remember to take the kids fishing!
