Grizzly Fishing Report 08-02-2025

We started off the month of July with some nice mixed bag catches of flounder and seabass! By mid month we were back to working on the seabass with only a few flounder each day. Glad our charters are always willing to take our recommendations each day to provide the best trip possible.

Then we were lucky enough to have 2 beautiful days for tuna trips. The closest tuna were over 90 miles one way so both groups were willing to try some tile fishing. The first group harvested an inspected boat limit of 56 blue line tile fish and 62 golden tile fish. We were 2 short on the golden tile as these fish do not survive catch and release. A meat haul of epic proportions! The next trip was able to find some excellent dolphin fishing to start. After catching 29 dolphin on spinning tackle we went right to work on the tile fish. Harvesting another limit of 48 blueline tile and 42 golden tile.

Had a few half day trips mixed in that saw limits of trout and some flounder, croakers and triggerfish. Finished the month off with some more flounder and seabass mixed bags.
