Grizzly Fishing Report 07-20-2026

Spent the first few days since last report on our annual family trip small mouth fishing. Jumped right into flounder fishing with excellent numbers of flounders. This month saw some of the best flounder numbers I can ever remember catching. Those of you that fish with us know how often I get to partake in the actual catching but one day I got to break that mold. Fishing from the bow I caught over 40 flounder myself was incredible bite! Had passenger just letting them lay on surface if short to spit the hook out on top and drop right back down for another one. Some days just able to keep enough for suppers some wound up good.

Groups wanting to mix it up were able to see some good numbers of sea bass with a few flounder and ling.

Some fishing close to home and halfday trip saw some excellent mix bags with up to 6 or 7 species. Fun fishing when you don't know what you are going to get to bite the hook. Could be a croaker, small black drum, sea trout, sheepshead, triggerfish or tog.

Did one canyon run for tuna with none to be found went 1 for 3 on white marlin bites. Did couple inshore bluefin trips which were all a success but we had trouble catching the smaller bluefin and had to release several nicer over 47"bluefin. Long as the season stays open will catch a few more in November and December on 10 hour trips.
